SmartSocks®DISCOVERY Pioneers Competition: RHUL Sleep Lab Awarded 2nd Place in the Sleep Category

Beatriz Venâncio, a doctoral student in our lab, took part in the 2026 SmartSocks®DISCOVERY Pioneers competition, an initiative aiming to recognise innovative research ideas using the SmartSocks® wearable sensing platform. Together with Dr Alice M. Gregory and Dr Jakke Tamminen, the team developed a proposal exploring how wearable technology can support sleep research in children and young people with Type 1 Diabetes.
